The great Jacksonville fire of 1901 ravaged the city and burned down the vast majority of downtown’s 2,300 mostly wooden structures. It took many years of rebuilding to turn the city into North Florida’s major metropolitan area. This vast accomplishment inspired us to call ourselves 1901 Contracting and work to preserve our city’s historical and architectural heritage, along with helping those who have lost everything.

We started our business with a focus on restoring properties damaged by catastrophic events like floods, hurricanes, and fires. Today we work with both commercial and residential clients on numerous restoration projects, like insurance repairs, foreclosed property rehabilitation, applied structural drying, and hazardous material removal and cleanup.
